It has been so tempting to just stay in all the time..with all this cold weather and a warm fireplace in the family room. Before Gracie these were days that I would curl up with a good book and a blanket. However...that is not realistic or fun with a toddler in the house. We had a huge snowfall in early January and have had some smaller ones since then and Gracie and Mopsy can't get enough of it. Every day that it has been snowy Gracie asked me to make "no shakes" (paper snow flakes)and read "The Snowy Day" (which is an adorable book and now on our favorites list). That is soon followed by "Wanna go outside...wanna go outside in a no". So...out we go into the deep deep snow...snow balls, snow angels,sticks, dead leaf stars and all..and it has been cold...brrr...and fun...
THEN..we get to curl up with the blanket and the fire together and warm our cold hands and feet.
