October Fun 2010

We are loving October...mostly. Other than some nasty sickness this past week anyway. We have had such a good time with Miss G and she is SOOOO excited for Halloween. She decided like 2 months ago that she wanted to be a purple witch so we put the costume together a couple of weeks ago and she has already worn it several times. A few weeks ago we went to the pumpkin patch at Jacquemen Farms and let Gracie chose out tons of little pumpkins. We got two big ones to make "pumpkin moonshines" out of and made sure we didn't leave before we got a bag full of pumpkin doughnuts. YUMMY! Unfortunately we carved our "moonshines" (Pumpkin Moonshines are Jack 0' Lanterns) too soon so they became really scary and moldy and we had to throw them away a few days ago. We went back with Holli and Paze last weekend to let the girls go on the hayride and play. It was great for Gracie to get to play with her "cousint" as she calls Paizlee.

We really love fall and Halloween especially so we have been making tons of halloween crafts and picking up tons of halloween books at the library to read at bedtime. We have made halloween cookies including purple pumpkins and just try to do something different every day to enjoy this spooky month. Gracie has been watching "Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" at least every other day too and has waited patiently for the Great Pumpkin to bring her her hearts desire...a purple fork and spoon and the book "The spooky old Tree". The Great Pumpkin finally broke down yesterday and brought her her little presents early so she could enjoy them a few days extra.

Tonight is Trick or Treat in our neighborhood so I will try to post more pictures soon!
Happy Haunting everyone!
